Job Description: 
Ascertia is seeking a Senior System Engineer to enhance and manage the company’s core IT operations, including infrastructure, security, networks, servers, and communication systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical leadership and the ability to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient technology services across the organization. 
This role offers a balance of hands-on engineering and strategic growth, with opportunities to expand alongside Ascertia’s continuously evolving technology ecosystem. 

Candidate should have good knowledge and experience in the following: 

  • Oversee & enhance IT infrastructure across servers, networks, firewalls, cloud & security systems. 
  • Administer Microsoft, Linux, and database servers, including virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). 
  • Manage Azure cloud services (networking, storage, identity, monitoring). 
  • Configure and support containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS). 
  • Implement and manage SIEM/SOAR tools, ensuring security compliance. 
  • Automate and monitor systems via PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tools. 
  • Maintain configuration, documentation, and asset inventories. 
  • Manage PKI and certificate lifecycle processes with product and security teams. 
  • Contribute to capacity planning, infrastructure optimization, and IT roadmap execution. 
Job Specifications: 
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field. 
  • Certifications: MCSE or equivalent, CCNA/CCNP preferred, Azure or Cloud certification (AZ-104) is a plus 
Technical Skills: 
  • Systems: Advanced experience with Windows Server (2012–2019), Windows 10/11, and Linux administration. 
  • Directory & Virtualization: Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, IIS, WSUS; strong hands-on with VMware and Hyper-V. 
  • Networking: LAN/WAN, VPNs (GRE/IPSec/SSL), DNS/DHCP, wireless (802.11b/g/n/ac), and firewall management. 
  • Cloud: Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (networking, storage, identity, monitoring); exposure to AWS/GCP hybrid setups. 
  • Automation & Monitoring: PowerShell, Ansible, and automated monitoring/configuration practices. 
  • Security & Compliance: SIEM/SOAR tools, ISO 27001 alignment, PKI and certificate lifecycle management. 
  • Databases & Tools: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL; familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, and Office 365/SharePoint 
Desirable:  
  • Knowledge of digital identity, authentication, and Microsoft System Center. 
  • Strong documentation and infrastructure planning mindset.
